The Whale’s Song

The winds they’re changing.  I can feel it in the air
Time to pack my bags and get out of here
You know I like where I’m at but not for too long
I know it’s time to set sail ‘cause I hear the whale’s song

I can hear the cry that calls me away.  Find new waters, find a new day
I love the call that echoes below.  Deep in the ocean and deep in my soul
Crying time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song

Just like the seasons, steadfast and true
As I tire of the one, the next feels new
So goes every port where my anchor finds ground
Seeing old friends till that echoing sound

I can hear the cry that calls me away.  Find new waters, find a new day
I love the call that echoes below.  Deep in the ocean and deep in my soul
Crying time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song

And I’m finding new friends each time I return
No one has changed but new stories they’ve earned
And before their new stories blend with tales of before
That whale’s song starts calling to find distant shore

I can hear the cry that calls me away.  Find new waters, find a new day
I love the call that echoes below.  Deep in the ocean and deep in my soul
Crying time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song.  I follow the whale’s song

And though my sails catch the wind
And for a season I’m gone
You know I’ll come back
When I hear the whale’s song
When I hear the whale’s song

Telling me time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
Time to move on.  So I follow the whale’s song
I follow the whale’s song.  I follow the whale’s song
